Job summary

R Systems is seeking a seasoned software engineering lead to drive design and delivery of scalable microservices on AWS. The role requires 7+ years of experience, proficiency in Java/Spring and modern frontend frameworks, and strong leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams through architecture decisions, code reviews, and performance tuning.

Qualifications

7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with 2–4+ years in a technical lead or senior role.
Proficient in at least one backend or frontend language (Java 8+; Spring Boot; Angular/React).
Strong system design skills for scalable, distributed systems (microservices, event-driven).
Experience in insurance domain and familiarity with payments, security, and regulatory requirements.
Experience with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot Agent mode) for rapid prototyping.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and containerization (Docker).
Experience with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
Solid understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL), caching, and messaging systems.
Familiarity with testing strategies, observability (logs/metrics/tracing), and debugging.
