Job summary

PERSOL is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a prominent A1 main contractor in the construction sector in Singapore. The successful candidate will lead shop drawing preparation, materials submissions, and construction planning, ensuring alignment with Consultants’ approvals and project schedules.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering, at least 5 years of relevant experience in local construction, and strong skills in coordinating building services and supervising site operations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering recognised by PE Board.
• Min 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
• Experience coordinating building services and supervising site operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor shop drawings and materials submission, and construction programme for approval by Consultants.
• Coordinate and monitor site activities such as inspection, site measurement, and supervision of works to comply with specifications, drawings, and programs.
• Attend audit interviews and all project meetings (progress, safety, and sub-contractors’ meetings).
• Assist Project Manager to prepare and update project schedule data and project status reports.
• Prepare daily, site diary, and weekly reports; ensure proper recording.
• Support safety team to ensure compliance with HSE requirements on site.
• Liaise with authorities, sub-contractors, and clients on M&E inspections, quality checks, testing and commissioning.
• Lead M&E inspections, quality checks, testing and commissioning activities.
• Plan and coordinate project handover to the Client operation team.
• Perform other duties as required by Management.
