Job summary

Exyte in Singapore is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead design and delivery of electrical systems for data centre facilities. You will perform engineering tasks, prepare calculations, coordinate across disciplines and ensure timely, high-quality electrical documentation.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years of experience, professional registration preferred, and experience with LEED/BREEAM and multi-disciplined teams in Asia.

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering tasks for design of electrical systems for data centre facilities.

• Provides specialized technical input to studies and documentation.
• Supports project on-site execution as electrical specialist.
• Develops studies and design procedures for cost-effective work.
• Develops conceptual, preliminary and final design documents with sizing, power diagrams, layouts.
• Ensures technical quality and timely issuance of electrical documents.
• Raises concerns and change notices for consideration.
• Organizes regular electrical discipline meetings and tracks action plans.
• Creates scopes of work to support commercial activities.
• Supports closeout and commissioning of a project.

Job Description

• Performs engineering tasks for the design of electrical systems for data centre facilities
• If required, prepares electrical engineering calculations and deliverables in support of electrical system designs
• Coordinates with disciplines in the preparation and development of the deliverables and ensuring those other disciplines’ inputs are incorporated
• Provides specialized technical input to studies and all relevant technical documentation
• Supports project on-site execution and act as electrical specialist
• Assists in developing studies and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work
• Assists in the development of conceptual design, preliminary design and final design documents which would include calculations related to sizing and selecting of these systems, the development of power diagrams, layout of electric equipment, electrical system control
• Ensures the technical quality and the timely issuance of all the electrical documents and drawings on the project.
• Raises concerns and change notices for consideration.
• Organize regular electrical discipline meetings. Draft the action plan and follow up on the closure of the action plans.
• Create and write packages and scopes of work to support commercial activities
• Support with closeout and commissioning of a project

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineer (or similar experience and qualification)
• 5+ years working in electrical engineering
• Professional registration preferred
• Experience of working with international companies
• LEED / BREEAM
