Job summary

JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS RTL SCC SG PTE. LTD is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support detailed design for building infrastructure including high- and medium-voltage substations.

The role involves coordinating with multiple disciplines, reviewing client briefs, and ensuring quality across the project lifecycle. Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering recognized by PEB Singapore.
• Experience performing electrical services detailed design for building infrastructure, including HT and MV substations.
• Familiarity with local codes and international standards to ensure compliance.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills with the ability to write clear technical documents.
• Participate in client liaison and multi-disciplinary consulting.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Technical Director and Operation Lead; be self-disciplined and able to work independently.
• Review and understand scope, BIM, specifications and drawings from client briefs.
• Ensure consistent quality standards and conformance with design plans across the project; coordinate with other disciplines for project consistency.
• Assist in preparing proposals and bids.
• Engage with engineers, drafting and design staff to fulfill deliverables.
• Lead and attend project/site meetings with Client, PM and other consultants.
• Conduct site inspections as necessary and respond to technical queries.
• Liaise and coordinate relevant technical issues with other disciplines.
• Build relationships with clients in a Doer/Seller role.
• Write technical reports and specifications, SOOs, including functional descriptions for electrical systems.
• Support site supervision and plant commissioning activities when required.

Job description

Here’s what you’ll need

• Degree in Electrical Engineering recognized by PEB Singapore.


• Relevant experience to be able to perform engineering tasks on the electrical services detailed design (including calculations, review of computer simulations, specifications etc.) for building Electrical infrastructure, particularly in HT and MV substations;


• Familiarity with relevant Local Codes and international standards to ensure compliance.


• Strong problem solving and communication skills, be able to think logically and write technical documents with clarity;


• Participate in client liaison and multi disciplinary consulting;
