Job summary

R Systems International (RSI) is seeking a client-facing Senior Technical Consultant for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to lead design, development, customization, and implementation efforts. You will analyze business requirements, prepare technical designs, and deliver AL/C-AL extensions, reports, APIs, and third-party integrations.

The role requires 5–8 years of hands-on MS Dynamics 365 experience, strong programming skills, and a track record of successful NAV-to-BC upgrades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer or related Microsoft certifications.
• 5 - 8 years' of relevant experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with MS Dynamics 365.
• Strong programming knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, customization, and implementation of Dynamics 365 Business Central and NAV solutions.
• Gather and analyze business requirements, prepare technical design documents, and provide solution recommendations.
• Develop and maintain AL/C-AL extensions, customizations, reports, APIs, and integrations with external systems.
• Design and implement integrations with third-party applications using REST APIs, Web Services, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Power Automate, EDI, and FTP/FTP solutions.
• Support end-to-end project delivery, including development, testing, deployment, go-live activities, and post-go-live support.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide timely resolutions.
• Lead upgrade and migration projects from Dynamics NAV to Business Central, including data migration and extension modernization.
• Ensure adherence to development standards, code quality, security, and best practices.
• Prepare Change Request (CR) documentation, technical specifications, deployment plans, and solution documentation.
• Mentor junior consultants and developers through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge transfer sessions.
• Coordinate with clients, business stakeholders, functional consultants, and project managers to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
• Manage technical workstreams, effort estimations, project timelines, and resource planning across multiple projects.
