Job summary

direct search asia pte. ltd. seeks an experienced Senior Document Controller to support major Marine EPC and offshore projects.

You will oversee document control across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover, ensuring controlled, traceable, on-time documentation aligned with project needs and schedules. The role requires 5–8 years of document control experience in Marine/Offshore/EPC sectors, strong MS Office skills, and ability to mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Requires 5–8 years of relevant document control experience.
• Experience with engineering, vendor, procurement, construction, and project documentation.
• Proficient in MDRs, transmittals, revision control, workflows, and review cycles.

Responsibilities

• Lead document control activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain the Master Document Register (MDR), status trackers, transmittals, and revision records.
• Manage engineering, procurement, vendor, construction, commissioning, quality, and project documentation.
• Coordinate submissions, reviews, approvals, and distribution between teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Monitor review cycles and overdue submissions, approvals, and comments.
• Ensure latest approved revisions are distributed and superseded docs controlled.
• Monitor vendor/subcontractor documentation for project compliance.
• Prepare status reports, dashboards, and progress reports for management.
• Support close-out, as-built docs, commissioning dossiers, and handover packages.
• Maintain and improve document control procedures and filing systems.
• Provide guidance to junior Document Controllers and project personnel.
• Support audits and ensure traceability to quality requirements.
