Datadog is seeking a Senior Director of Recruiting to lead recruitment across Japan, Singapore, Australia and beyond. This strategic leader will build, scale, and structure processes, org design, and workforce planning for sustained regional growth.

Datadog is a multinational publicly traded cloud software and security company, with incredible financial results and consistent YoY growth. We are seeking a strong Senior Director of Recruiting to see us through the next stages of growth for the team and region. This role will lead recruiting teams across Japan, Singapore, Australia, and potentially beyond, to drive hiring strategies across all of our business functions. As an action-oriented strategic leader, this role will lead a recruiting team towards hiring growth goals, and will build, scale, and structure process, org design, communication, workflow, and recruiting strategies for future growth. Some key areas of focus will be owning the regional strategy of recruiting, and partnering with senior business leaders on workforce planning, headcount planning, and approaches that prioritizes the success of the region.

What You’ll Do:

• Establish and execute strategy to reach company hiring goals
• Hire and build high performing teams and develop a team culture of developing and growing ICs and leaders over time
• Coach team to create and foster high touch relationships with active and passive candidates, as well as hiring managers
• Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
• Ensure diversity in hiring is a priority
• Contribute to and lead team to achieve quarterly goals
• Keep a recruiting process fast, efficient, and human at all stages, revising process when needed and adapting to market shifts
• Contribute to growing other leaders throughout the organization through coaching, mentoring, and setting the bar for organizational and principled leadership
• Facilitate shared accountability with the business and hiring managers working with you as partners
• Plan and organize headcount and hiring strategies against seasonality and bandwidth
• Use funnel metrics which impact the business to drive actions and change management for the business

Who You Are:

• Experienced in recruiting with 15+ years of industry experience, and 10+ years leading recruiting teams
• An experienced people manager who has experience in successfully leading managers
• Versed in hiring across multiple countries, with deep-rooted expertise in hiring in APAC
• Exposed to working with and/or reporting directly to leaders in the U.S., and adept at managing up
• Excellent at cross-team collaboration and stakeholder management
• Adept at building happy and well performing recruiting teams, able to navigate the journey of building a team parallel with executing a headcount plan
• Able to successfully navigate and pivot to changing business needs
• Able to use data to identify and drive change
