Job summary

Apar Technologies Private Limited is seeking a Senior Data Project Manager in Singapore to lead end-to-end delivery of complex data, analytics, cloud, data migration and digital transformation programmes. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage vendors and engage senior stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.

Role requires 10+ years in project management, strong governance, and hands-on experience with data platforms, ETL/ELT and data governance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Project or Programme Management.
• Proven experience delivering Data, Analytics, Cloud, Data Migration or Digital Transformation projects.
• Strong experience managing multiple cross-functional teams and technical workstreams.
• Knowledge of Cloud Data Architecture, AWS and/or GCP is preferred.
• Experience with ETL/ELT, data pipelines and data governance.
• Strong budget, resource, vendor and risk management skills.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Project Manager to lead complex data, analytics, cloud, data migration and digital transformation programmes. The role involves managing multiple workstreams, cross-functional teams, senior stakeholders and external vendors to ensure successful delivery of strategic technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex data, analytics, cloud and digital transformation projects.
• Manage project planning, scope, timelines, budgets, resources, milestones and dependencies.
• Coordinate multiple workstreams involving Data Engineers, Data Architects, Analysts, Data Scientists, Cloud, DevOps, QA, Security and Governance teams.
• Manage senior business and technology stakeholders and provide regular programme updates.
• Lead governance meetings, steering committees and project reviews.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and decisions (RAID).
• Manage vendors, contractors and external technology partners.
• Oversee implementation of data platforms, data pipelines, data warehouses, data migrations and analytics solutions.
• Ensure data quality, security, privacy, metadata, lineage and governance requirements are addressed.
• Oversee ETL/ELT, data validation, reconciliation, testing, UAT, deployment and production readiness.
• Manage change requests and assess their impact on scope, cost, timeline, resources and quality.
• Lead release, migration, cutover and transition-to-support activities.
• Prepare executive dashboards, project reports, financial updates and risk summaries.
• Conduct post-project reviews and track business benefits and outcomes.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Project or Programme Management.
• Proven experience delivering complex Data, Analytics, Cloud, Data Migration, Integration, Data Platform or Digital Transformation projects.
• Strong experience managing multiple cross-functional teams and technical workstreams.
• Good understanding of Cloud Data Architecture, preferable AWS and/or GCP.
• Working knowledge of PySpark and Scala data pipelines.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, APIs, data integration, data warehousing and data lakes/lakehouses.
• Knowledge of data modelling, scheduling and orchestration platforms.
• Experience in data governance, metadata management, data catalogues, data lineage and data quality.
• Experience with data validation, transformation, reconciliation, testing and UAT.
• Strong experience in budget, resource, vendor and risk management.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall or Hybrid methodologies.
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, MS Project or Smartsheet.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP / PRINCE2 / PMI-ACP / SAFe / Scrum Master or equivalent certification.
• AWS / GCP / Azure / Databricks / Snowflake or Data Governance certification.
• Experience in regulated industries such as Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare, Government or Telecommunications.
