Job summary

Aryan-Solutions-Pte.-Ltd. is seeking a Senior Data Project Manager in Singapore to lead enterprise data and analytics initiatives from planning through implementation and transition.

You will manage cross-functional teams across data, analytics, architecture, infrastructure, security, and business functions, with responsibility for delivery, governance, budget, risks, and cloud-based data solutions.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex data, analytics, and data platform projects.

• Identify data sources, owners, dependencies, and access requirements early.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Project Manager to lead complex enterprise data and analytics initiatives from planning through implementation and transition.

The role will manage cross-functional teams across data engineering, analytics, architecture, infrastructure, security, and business functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for project delivery, stakeholder management, governance, budget and resource oversight, risk management, and the successful implementation of cloud-based data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex data, analytics, and data platform projects.

• Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, success criteria, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.

• Develop delivery plans covering requirements, data sourcing, data modelling, ETL/ELT development, validation, testing, deployment, and transition.

• Identify data sources, ownership, dependencies, and access requirements early in the project lifecycle.

• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, data engineers, architects, analysts, data scientists, infrastructure teams, and senior management.

• Translate business objectives into actionable technical and project requirements.

• Lead project governance and provide regular reporting on progress, financials, risks, issues, dependencies, and key decisions.

• Present project status and recommendations to sponsors, management, and steering committees.

• Manage scope changes and stakeholder expectations relating to timelines, data quality, technical constraints, and project priorities.

• Coordinate cross-functional project teams and manage dependencies across technology, security, infrastructure, compliance, and business functions.

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives where applicable.

• Ensure appropriate data quality standards, validation processes, and data governance controls are implemented.

• Coordinate with security, governance, and compliance teams to address data privacy and regulatory requirements.

• Ensure appropriate data lineage, metadata, and technical documentation are maintained.

• Identify and manage risks including data quality issues, integration failures, schema changes, infrastructure constraints, and scalability challenges.

• Maintain RAID logs and drive mitigation and resolution of critical project issues.

• Manage project budgets, costs, resource utilisation, vendors, and external delivery partners where applicable.

• Oversee testing strategies covering data validation, transformation logic, integration, and end-to-end data pipelines.

• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and resolution of identified issues.

• Manage deployment, migration, rollback, change management, and production transition activities.

• Ensure effective knowledge transfer, operational handover, and post-implementation support.

• Conduct project retrospectives and measure outcomes against agreed business and technical KPIs.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 10 years of project management experience, with strong experience delivering enterprise data, analytics, or data platform initiatives.

• Strong understanding of cloud data architectures using AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Technical understanding of data engineering and data pipelines using technologies such as PySpark and Scala.

• Good understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, metadata management, data modelling, and scheduling/orchestration platforms.

• Experience managing complex data migration, integration, or data transformation programmes.

• Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, metadata, lineage, and security principles.

• Experience managing project budgets, resources, vendors, risks, and delivery dependencies.

• Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and/or hybrid project delivery methodologies.

• Experience coordinating UAT, deployment, migration, and production transition activities.

• Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, communication, and presentation skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively between business and technical teams and make informed delivery trade-offs.

Preferred Skills

• Experience delivering enterprise-scale cloud data platforms.

• Experience within banking, financial services, or other regulated enterprise environments.

• Familiarity with modern data lake, data warehouse, and data lakehouse architectures.

• Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, Scrum, or equivalent project management certification.

• Cloud or data-related professional certifications would be advantageous.
