Job summary

Sonova is seeking a Senior Manager Data Governance Program to lead enterprise data governance initiatives. You will drive governance strategies, establish data ownership, and coordinate data owners and stewards across the organization.

You will partner with IT and business units to implement tools, define standards, and ensure data quality while fostering a culture of data-driven decision making. This hybrid role supports flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of data governance best practices, tools, processes and roles.
• Ability to partner with IT and business to drive data governance across the organization.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops data governance vision and builds processes, including issue tracking and metadata management.
• Evaluates standards, policies, and objectives for enterprise data governance.
• Facilitates changes to align data processes with governance policies.
• Identify and set up data catalog and data dictionary tools.
• Collaborate with business and analytics teams to uncover data opportunities.
• Design data governance framework and processes to enable data access and quality.
• Partner with business and IT leaders to identify data owners and data stewards.
• Mentor and upskill data and analytics teams on governance.
• Promote data awareness across units and coordinate enterprise data initiatives.
• Identify data collection processes that introduce risk and propose solutions.
• Provide input to overall data architecture to reduce data fragmentation.
