Job summary

Sonova Group seeks a Data Steward to ensure data in assigned domains is well defined, trusted and fit for use. You will collaborate with data owners, governance teams and analytics to apply standards and maintain metadata, dictionaries and lineage across data assets.

You will act as a governance contact, define rules, monitor quality, and support privacy assessments while promoting data literacy and trusted data sources across the organization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working with business data, reporting, master data or analytics.
• Experience with data quality, data definitions, business rules or data issue resolution.
• Good understanding of data governance, data quality and data ownership principles.

Responsibilities

• Act as operational data governance contact for assigned data domains and support the Data Governance Program Manager in implementing governance processes.
• Define, maintain and align business definitions, data ownership, data quality rules and data standards with domain experts.
• Monitor data quality, identify issues, coordinate root-cause analysis and support remediation with business and technical teams.
• Maintain metadata, data catalog entries, data dictionaries and lineage information for assigned domains.
• Support data classification, access control and privacy-related assessments by providing domain knowledge and data context.
• Contribute to data governance forums by preparing issue summaries, quality insights, proposed standards and decision input.
• Promote data awareness and data literacy in the business by explaining standards, definitions and governance processes.
• Partner with BI, analytics, data engineering and business teams to ensure data products use consistent definitions and trusted data sources.
