Job summary

The Public Service Division is seeking a role focused on developing and implementing enterprise-wide data governance policies and frameworks. You will ensure data is managed securely and leveraged as a strategic asset across the organisation.

You will work with business units, IT, cybersecurity, legal and audit teams to embed governance into ICT systems and projects, coordinate incident management, and promote data literacy and responsible data use.

Qualifications

• Degree in Data/Information Management or related field.
• At least 2 years in data governance or data management roles.
• Knowledge of data stewardship, quality, classification, sharing and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement enterprise-wide data governance policies and frameworks.
• Drive data ownership, stewardship, and lifecycle management across business and IT.
• Translate government data management and security requirements into practical controls.
• Collaborate with business units, IT, cybersecurity, legal and audit teams to embed governance in ICT systems and projects.
• Coordinate data incident management, reporting and remediation actions.
• Develop data literacy and security-awareness programs across the organisation.
• Provide guidance on data governance and responsible data use to project teams.
