Job summary

Google Cloud seeks a seasoned APAC Senior Cloud Architect to drive infrastructure modernization initiatives and craft compelling, country-specific positioning for Google's Cloud Platform. You foster deep technical engagements with enterprise customers, advise on timelines, and help Google account teams align solutions with business needs.

In this customer-facing role, you partner with product management and engineering to stay ahead of industry trends, while scaling solutions across regions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in pre-sales or engineering with relations to cloud technology and architectures.
• Experience in planning infrastructure modernization as a technical consultant, technical engineer, or enterprise architect.
• Experience in a customer-facing role in the enterprise space.
• Experience in networking and related to PaaS/IaaS technologies.
• Experience in architecting software or infrastructure for scalable and secure distributed systems.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure products across compute, storage and networking.
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin and English fluently for cross-region client management.

Responsibilities

• Create APAC and country specific positioning of Google Cloud’s Infrastructure modernization platform, drive adoption, and conduct technical engagements and pilots around infrastructure modernization solutions.
• Help customer engineers and specialists deeply understand the industry landscape in each country in the infrastructure modernization space.
• Advise customers on implementation timelines, change management implications, and related topics.
• Enable cross-pollinating solution successes across sub-regions through various dissemination vehicles.
• Establish working relationships with Google account teams, sales leadership, professional services, product management, solution management, global system integrator partners, and executive staff.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in networking (e.g., Linux, software-defined networking, network virtualization, open protocols, application acceleration and load balancing, Domain Name System (DNS), virtual private networks) and their application to PaaS and IaaS technologies.
• Experience in architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable and secure distributed systems.
• In-depth knowledge and skills of cloud infrastructure products across compute (CPU and xPU), storage (block, file, object) and networking (VPC and WAN).
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin and English fluently to support client relationship management cross-regionally.
