Job summary

Atlaz in Singapore is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee contractual, commercial and cost-management matters across multiple projects. The role requires managing pre- and post-contract activities, reviewing main contracts and supplier agreements, and guiding the QS/contracts team.

You will oversee budgets, cash flow, claims, and final accounts, while mitigating risks and negotiating with subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building or related discipline is required.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant contracts or commercial-management experience in Singapore’s construction industry.
• Strong experience working with a main contractor on building projects.
• Knowledge of PSSCOC, SIA Conditions of Contract and the Security of Payment Act is essential.
• Proven skills in cost control, procurement, variations, EOT claims, payment claims and final accounts.

Responsibilities

• Manage all pre-contract and post-contract commercial activities.
• Review and administer main contracts, subcontracts and supplier agreements.
• Oversee project budgets, cost forecasts, cash flow and commercial reporting.
• Manage progress claims, variations, EOT, loss and expense claims and final accounts.
• Identify contractual and commercial risks and recommend actions.
• Lead subcontractor procurement, tender evaluation and contract negotiations.
• Provide contractual and commercial advice to Project Managers and site teams.
• Handle payment disputes, claims negotiations and Security of Payment Act matters.
• Lead and guide the Quantity Surveying and contracts team.
• Ensure proper contract documentation, correspondence and project records.
