Job summary

HOCK LIAN SENG INFRASTRUCTURE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Senior Engineer for our Singapore projects. The role requires planning, coordinating, and supervising site construction activities with a strong focus on safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

You will review architectural, structural, and M&E drawings, coordinate with consultants and subcontractors, and manage day-to-day site operations to ensure timely delivery within approved drawings and methods.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Relevant experience with a main contractor in Singapore.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, site coordination, and drawing interpretation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with AutoCAD, BIM tools, and project scheduling software is an advantage.
• Good communication, coordination, problem-solving and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise daily construction activities according to drawings and programmes.
• Prepare and monitor short/long-term schedules to meet milestones.
• Coordinate manpower, materials and subcontractors to keep site operations efficient.
• Monitor progress, identify delays and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate QA/QC with consultants and quality team; ensure safety compliance.
• Review and resolve RFIs, drawings and technical issues with stakeholders.
• Supervise subcontractors, site supervisors and workers to ensure compliance.
• Maintain records of site instructions, variations and cost submissions.
• Coordinate with QC, MOM and other authorities for statutory compliance.
• Assist in project handover documentation and close-out activities.
