Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

Are you an experienced civil engineer ready to lead site infrastructure design for the region’s most complex data centre developments? Then this role is for you.

As Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the site development of data centre projects, with a strong focus on roads, drainage and utilities infrastructure. You will lead civil design delivery, shape site infrastructure and ensure integration with building and mission-critical systems across complex, high-value developments.

Technical leadership

You will lead the design of civil and site infrastructure works, including roads, stormwater drainage and underground utilities. You will prepare and review detailed engineering calculations, drawings and specifications, designing earthworks, grading, pavements and utility networks in line with project requirements and local authority standards.

You will manage civil engineering packages from concept through detailed design to construction support, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, mechanical, structural and BIM. You will support authority submissions and approvals, such as PUB, LTA and BCA, and provide technical input during construction and site inspections.

You will liaise with clients, contractors and government authorities on design and delivery matters, participating in technical meetings and providing expert guidance on civil engineering solutions. You will support project managers in delivering outcomes aligned with client expectations.

Mentorship and team development

You will mentor junior engineers and support capability building within the civil team, promoting technical excellence and knowledge sharing. You will contribute to an collaborative and high-performing team culture.

Innovation and continuous improvement

You will identify opportunities to improve design efficiency, constructability and sustainability, and support the adoption of digital engineering and BIM within civil design workflows. You will stay current with evolving standards, design tools and infrastructure trends.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) Singapore registration, or working towards it, is preferred.
• Registered, or eligible for registration, with the Professional Engineers Board (PEB).
• Familiarity with Singapore codes and authority requirements, including PUB, LTA and BCA.
• Membership with the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES), or equivalent, is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Senior Civil Engineer, or Civil and Structural Engineer, within consultancy or infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience in roads, drainage and utilities design, particularly for building site developments or industrial and data centre sites.
• Related structural engineering experience is beneficial.
• Solid understanding of Singapore authority requirements and submission processes, with experience coordinating multidisciplinary infrastructure design.
