Job summary

WECRUIT PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a diligent Purchasing Administrator to manage the full purchasing process from sourcing and RFQs to price negotiation, shipment arrangements and delivery follow-ups.

The role reviews material requirements from the MRP system, purchases materials and equipment per production needs, expedites orders, and coordinates with planning teams and suppliers to ensure timely delivery. You will monitor inventory levels and handle supplier performance and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing and procurement processes.
• Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems and supplier onboarding.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full purchasing process, including sourcing, RFQs, price negotiation, shipment arrangements and delivery follow-ups.
• Review MRP material requirements and purchase materials, components and equipment per production needs.
• Follow up and expedite outstanding orders with suppliers to meet production schedules.
• Coordinate with supply chain planning teams and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
• Monitor inventory levels and implement stocking policies as per management guidelines.
• Liaise with logistics providers on shipment arrangements, delivery status and customs documentation.
• Monitor supplier performance in terms of product quality, delivery reliability and inventory control.
• Process purchasing documentation, including vendor registration, purchase orders (POs), delivery notes (DNs) and invoice submissions to Finance.
• Coordinate the return of materials and units under the Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) or non-conformance process.
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in purchasing activities.
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly purchasing reports on time.
