The role manages the end-to-end business development cycle, including prospecting, client acquisition, commercial negotiations, account management and partnership performance. Working with Marketing, Operations, clinic teams and the event execution team, the position supports corporate wellness initiatives, qualified lead generation and conversion into business opportunities.

Candidates with stronger relevant experience and demonstrated commercial achievements may be considered for the Assistant Business Development Manager designation.

Key responsibilities

Business Development & Partnerships
  • Proactively identify, engage and acquire new corporate clients and business partners through outreach, networking, referrals and other business development channels.

  • Develop opportunities for corporate wellness events, health talks, employee benefit programmes, referral programmes and other strategic collaborations.

  • Prepare tailored business proposals, presentations and quotations, and negotiate commercial terms within approved company guidelines.

  • Build and maintain a qualified sales pipeline, identify new revenue opportunities and achieve agreed client acquisition and revenue targets.

  • Develop long-term partnerships that strengthen the company's market presence and support sustainable business growth.

Account Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned corporate clients and business partners.

  • Understand client needs and strengthen existing relationships through repeat engagements, renewals, cross-selling and additional collaborations.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to fulfil partnership commitments and resolve client enquiries or service-related issues promptly.

  • Monitor account performance, identify growth opportunities and recommend strategies to improve client retention and account value.

  • Maintain professional relationships with key decision-makers to support long-term partnership development.

Event Planning & Coordination
  • Develop and coordinate corporate wellness events, health talks, roadshows and partnership activities to support client engagement, lead generation and business growth.

  • Liaise with corporate partners to establish event objectives, programme requirements, participation arrangements and commercial deliverables.

  • Work closely with the event execution team, Marketing and Operations to coordinate manpower, logistics, equipment, promotional materials, registration arrangements and operational readiness.

  • Prepare event briefs, align relevant stakeholders and attend key events where necessary to manage partner relationships, oversee delivery and ensure agreed commitments are fulfilled.

  • Maintain an updated partnership and event calendar, ensuring timely communication of confirmed arrangements and changes.

Lead Conversion & Performance Management
  • Establish clear lead collection, referral, appointment booking and follow-up arrangements with Operations and clinic teams to support the conversion of corporate engagement opportunities into appointments and service utilisation.

  • Monitor partnership and event performance through agreed metrics, including qualified leads, appointment bookings, conversion rates, attributable revenue, costs and return on investment.

  • Maintain accurate prospect, sales pipeline and account records, and prepare post-event evaluations, monthly performance reports and revenue forecasts.

  • Identify conversion gaps and collaborate with relevant teams to implement improvements in lead management, follow-up processes and customer engagement.

  • Coordinate with Finance and relevant stakeholders on invoicing, payment follow-up and applicable partnership commissions.

Cross-functional Collaboration & Market Research
  • Work closely with Marketing, Operations and clinic teams to deliver corporate programmes and partnerships, ensuring a smooth client and patient experience.

  • Coordinate with Marketing on promotional materials, campaign support and communication requirements for corporate initiatives.

  • Organise briefings for frontline teams on corporate benefits, programme workflows, referral arrangements and lead follow-up procedures.

  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities and evolving corporate wellness needs to identify new business and partnership opportunities.

  • Recommend improvements to partnership offerings, business development processes and customer engagement strategies based on market insights and performance results.

About you

  • Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in business development, corporate sales, partnerships or account management, with a demonstrated track record of client acquisition and revenue generation.

  • Experience in healthcare, wellness, corporate benefits or corporate events would be an advantage.

  • Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building and negotiation skills, with proficiency in English. Mandarin proficiency would be an advantage for engaging Mandarin-speaking corporate clients and business partners.
