Job summary

INFOWIZ PTE LTD seeks a Senior Backend Engineer to build and maintain services powering product operations. You will own backend features, production issues, and integrations across management platforms, with a focus on reliability under high traffic.

You will design scalable APIs, optimize queries, and mentor engineers while collaborating with product, frontend, QA, and DevOps teams to improve system maintainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of hands-on backend development experience, including ownership of production services.
• Strong experience with C# and .NET Core / .NET.
• RESTful API design and backend system design.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and SQL optimization; NoSQL familiarity is a plus.
• Ability to write clean, thread-safe code and ensure data consistency, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Experience diagnosing performance issues and resolving incidents in live systems.
• Clear communication and cross-team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs supporting product operations and internal management platforms.
• Build reliable workflows for configuration, operational controls, data processing, and platform integrations.
• Own technical design and delivery for complex features, including reviews, testing, documentation, and deployment.
• Improve service performance, queries, concurrency, and availability.
• Investigate production incidents, identify root causes, and implement lasting fixes.
• Leverage Vibe Coding and AI tools to boost productivity and explore AI-driven workflows.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, QA and DevOps to deliver backend features.
• Mentor junior engineers and help improve engineering standards and maintainability.
