Job summary

Nas.com is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer in Singapore to scale our async backend platform. You will own backend features, improve system architecture, and maintain robust cloud infrastructure to keep services responsive around the clock.

You will work autonomously in a remote-capable environment, collaborating with product and engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable services using Node.js, Python, MongoDB, and AWS.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in backend development or systems engineering.
• Experience building scalable backend systems.
• Proficiency with Node.js or Python for APIs and services.
• Experience with MongoDB and Redis.
• Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda).
• Experience with observability tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana/Prometheus.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote, asynchronous environment.
• Strong debugging and incident response skills.

Responsibilities

• Backend Feature Development: design and implement new backend features with high quality.
• System Architecture & Performance: improve core system architecture for performance and scalability.
• Infrastructure & DevOps: maintain AWS infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitoring & Alerts: set up monitoring, logging, and alerting across platforms.
• Off-Hours Support: handle backend incidents during EU/APAC windows as needed.
• Quality & Best Practices: enforce code quality, reviews, testing, and docs.
