Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Singapore is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems powering our AI-driven digital inspection platform. You will collaborate with global teams to deliver reliable APIs, improve performance, and secure architectures across the aftermarket network.

You will work in a hybrid environment, using Python, FastAPI, MongoDB, and Azure, while aligning with Agile practices to ship high-quality software and drive customer value.

Qualifications

• This role requires a Bachelor's degree in CS or related field and 7+ years of Python backend experience.
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI, MongoDB and Azure Cloud is essential.
• Strong problem-solving, secure code practices and scalable architecture knowledge are expected.
• Familiarity with Agile/Kanban is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build state-of-the-art AI-powered backend features and APIs.
• Collaborate with AI, Product and Software teams to ship backend solutions.
• Improve backend performance, reliability and security for global users.
• Contribute to CI/CD, monitoring, and developer tooling.
• Shape tech stack decisions and champion best practices.
