Job summary

HEXACON CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD in Singapore seeks a hands-on Architecture Lead to oversee architectural work progress and quality assurance. You will collaborate with project teams and consultants to resolve design conflicts and ensure seamless project execution.

Responsibilities include planning schedules, reviewing drawings for site alignment, producing clarification sketches, coordinating with sub-contractors, and guiding architectural supervisors to timely completion.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Architecture or related field required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in architecture or construction.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Lead the management of architectural work progress and quality to meet project standards and timelines.
• Plan and coordinate schedules for quoting from sub-contractors and material suppliers to support procurement.
• Review and verify architectural drawings to ensure alignment with site requirements and amendments.
• Produce sketches and drawings to clarify design details and resolve site issues.
• Analyze drawings to identify conflicts, collaborate with consultants to implement solutions.
• Communicate variations from specs or drawings to the Project Manager and Contracts Managers.
• Ensure proper sequencing and execution of trades, verify dimensions, alignment, levels and set-out on site.
• Assist Site Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager in qualifying finish material requirements and supplier quotations.
• Coordinate timely delivery and storage planning of materials with the Project Manager.
• Organize and lead regular meetings with sub-contractors to monitor progress and address issues.
• Assign duties to architectural supervisors and monitor their performance.
• Represent the architectural team in consultant site meetings and sub-contractor meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the management of architectural work progress and quality to meet project standards and timelines
• Plan and coordinate schedules for calling quotations from sub-contractors and material suppliers to support procurement processes
• Review and verify architectural drawings and information to ensure alignment with actual site requirements and client or consultant amendments
• Produce additional sketches and drawings to clarify design details and resolve site issues
• Analyze architectural drawings alongside structural and M&E drawings to identify and resolve conflicts, collaborating with consultants to implement solutions
• Communicate variations from specifications or drawings to the Project Manager and Contracts Managers promptly
• Ensure proper sequencing and execution of various trades, verifying correct dimensions, alignment, levels, and set-out on site
• Assist the Site Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager in qualifying finish material requirements and support supplier quotation and award processes
• Coordinate timely delivery and storage planning of materials in collaboration with the Project Manager
• Organize and lead regular meetings with sub-contractors to monitor progress and address issues impacting work schedules

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma in Architecture or a related field (e.g., Building Technology, Interior Design)
• Minimum 3 years of experience working in an architectural firm or construction company (preferably)
• Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD and Revit
• Knowledge of construction materials and methods
• Familiarity with Singapore building regulations and standards
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate across teams
• Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within project teams
