Job summary

daewoo-dongah joint venture seeks an experienced construction professional to lead project teams, coordinate with clients and consultants, and ensure quality workmanship on MRT/LTA construction projects in Singapore. The role requires extensive knowledge of local codes, safety regulations, and contract awareness.

The candidate will oversee design review, timely approvals, and field execution, driving on-time completion within budget while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Structural Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 10 years of construction experience, preferably MRT/LTA construction projects.
• Good knowledge of Singapore construction and safety regulations.
• Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills demonstrated in construction project environments.

Responsibilities

• Attend consultant and site meetings with the Project Team and coordinate with clients, consultants and sub-contractors to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
• Lead teams by outlining and assigning work, and reviewing technical accuracy.
• Coordinate with consultants to meet project program and authority submissions.
• Review design drawings and propose feasible alternatives.
• Ensure designs comply with codes and regulations.
• Manage meeting schedules and requirements.
• Oversee site progress and support construction team.
• Resolve issues to prevent delays to the main program.
• Review and approve RFIs and site design amendments; identify drawing and material requirements.
• Ensure timely completion and high quality of works.
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of code requirements and cost control.
• Understand contract basics including VO’s and claims; experience in RI, TOP and CSC inspections.
• Perform ad-hoc duties to support project execution.

Job Responsibilities:

• Attend consultant and site meetings with the Project Team, coordinate with clients, consultants and sub-contractors to ensure the works carried out meet the desired quality/workmanship, specifications, code requirements and the projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Manage and lead teams by outlining and assigning work, reviewing technical accuracy and technical outcomes.
• Manage the consultants to meet project program, design deliverables, and Authority submission and timely approval.
• Review & verify with consultants / specialist’s design drawings, counter propose alternative design and feasibility of construction.
• Ensure the designs comply with relevant codes compliances and regulations.
• Meeting schedules and requirements.
• Oversee site work progress, monitor shop drawing progress and provide support to construction team.
• Resolve site issues related to design or changes required by Construction team, to ensure no delay affecting main program.
• Review and approve RFI & Site-Design Amendments and identify Architectural, Structural, M&E drawings, Materials and Workmanship Specification and Archi Design Criteria.
• Ensure timely completion and good quality of works
• Vast knowledge of Code Requirement
• Cost Control
• Knowledge of contract (base provision, VO’s, claim etc.)
• Experience in RI, TOP and CSC inspection
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned to support overall project execution and team objectives.

JobRequirements:

• Diplomaor Degree in Architecture, Structural Engineering, or equivalent qualification
• Minimum10 years of construction experience, preferably in MRT/LTA constructionprojects
• Good knowledge of Singapore construction and safety regulations
• Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills demonstrated in construction project environments
• Familiarity with Architecture and Design processes and construction sequencing
• Skills in AutoCAD, Google SketchUp, MS Office and other software is highly preferred.
