Job summary

PERSOL is seeking a capable Civil Engineer professional to lead site coordination for architectural projects in Singapore. You will oversee trades, manage shop drawings, MOS, and materials, and ensure strict adherence to contractual and design specifications.

Your role includes planning, coordinating with disciplines, and supervising site safety. Requirements include a Civil Engineering qualification, BIM/AutoCAD familiarity, and at least three years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline recognized by PE board.
• Certifications in structural/architectural disciplines (e.g., NCCS, BCSS, Safety, Lifting) are preferred.
• Minimum of three years of relevant work experience.
• Solid understanding of architectural specifications and BIM familiarity.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Oversee site coordination with all trades involved.
• Prepare and submit shop drawings, materials, and Method of Statements (MOS).
• Ensure work aligns with contractual agreements and design specifications.
• Plan architectural works and micro-schedule in collaboration with other disciplines.
• Liaise effectively with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Implement and maintain the Quality Control (QC) plan alongside the Quality and Service Department.
• Procure and monitor related architectural materials.
• Conduct inspections, material testing, and trade demonstrations.
• Ensure the installation of tiles and walls adheres to the setting out plan.
• Verify variations and prepare corresponding back charges.
• Attend subcontractor meetings and ensure compliance with the TOP checklist.
• Manage architectural samples, trade demos, and the review of shop drawings submitted by consultants.
• Update architectural progress using scheduling tools.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or management.
• Ensure a safe working environment for all activities.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline recognized by the Professional Engineers Board.
• Relevant certifications in structural and architectural disciplines (e.g., NCCS, BCSS, Safety, Lifting).
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience.
• Strong leadership skills to guide subcontractors and maintain project timelines with high-quality outcomes.
• Experience with QM projects and registration as Core trade foreman is preferred.
• Solid understanding of architectural specifications and BCA quality requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with Building Information Modelling (BIM).
