Job summary

Wee Poh Construction Co (Pte) Ltd is seeking a capable Architect/Civil Engineer to plan and coordinate on-site architectural works, ensuring timely and quality delivery. You will supervise construction activities and review drawings to align with structural and M&E components, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to address design challenges.

Candidates should have 3+ years of relevant experience, strong reading of construction drawings, and familiarity with BIM/VDC tools.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Architecture, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
• At least 3 years' experience in building or civil engineering projects.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings.
• Familiarity with BIM/VDC tools a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate architectural works on-site to ensure timely execution.
• Supervise and inspect construction activities for quality and compliance with specs.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders on design challenges.
• Review drawings to align with structural, mechanical and electrical components.
• Ensure EHS compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor progress and resolve design-related issues for a seamless workflow.
• Support submission of drawings, material samples and method statements as required.
• Lead RC workers when applicable to achieve project objectives.

Job description

Job Duties:

• Report to the Assistant Project Manager, Site Manager, or Project Engineer.
• Planning and coordination of architectural works on-site to ensure timely and efficient execution.
• Supervise and inspect construction activities to confirm compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to address technical and design-related challenges.
• Review architectural drawings and ensure alignment with structural, mechanical, and electrical components of the project.
• Ensure compliance with EHS requirements, regulations and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor progress and resolve issues related to design and detailing, ensuring a seamless workflow.
• Support the submission of architectural drawings, material samples and method statements as required.
• Liaise with the project team to resolve discrepancies and provide timely updates on project milestones.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the management to support project delivery.
• Lead and guide RC (Reinforced Concrete) workers, if applicable, to achieve project objectives.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Civil, or Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in building or civil engineering projects.
• Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings.
• Familiarity with BIM/VDC tools is a plus.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
