Job summary

Cornerstone Builders Pte. Ltd. is seeking an Architect with strong coordination skills to review and update architectural shop drawings, resolve discrepancies and liaise with subcontractors to ensure quality construction.

The candidate will coordinate with architects, structural and M&E engineers, manage scheduling, material requisitions, and documentation, and assist in developing project requirements to meet the Project Plan.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Architecture or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years local private residential/commercial project experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and resolve discrepancies.
• Awareness of requirements of relevant authorities (e.g. BCA).

Responsibilities

• Review, update and coordinate architectural work including shop drawings for the project.
• Resolve drawings discrepancies.
• Liaise, supervise and coordinate with sub-contractors and vendors on projects and work.
• Ensure compliance with architectural specifications and quality of works.
• Coordinate with architect, structural engineer and M&E engineer to resolve issues.
• Carry out architectural works scheduling, material requisition, cost control, project supervision and documentation.
• Assist Project Manager to develop project requirements and specifications.
• Attend construction site coordination works and meetings.
• Review project specifications, tender clarifications and construction drawings.
• Daily supervision and coordination of all architectural implementations at site.
• Prepare method statements and technical proposals for smooth transition of works.
• Liaise with RTO for inspection.
• Inspect, resolve and monitor rectifications.
• Supervise construction and ensure works follow the Project Plan.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with Architectural specifications, and achieve quality aspect of architectural works
• Coordinate with architect, structural engineer and M&E engineer to resolve construction problems and issues
• Carry out architectural works scheduling, material requisition, cost control, project supervision and documentation
• To assist Project Manager to develop project requirements and specifications
• To attend to construction site coordination works and meetin
• Review project specifications, tender clarifications and construction drawings
• Carry out daily supervision and coordination of all architectural implementations at site
• Prepare any necessary construction method statement and technical proposal to ensure smooth transition of works
• To liaise with RTO for inspection
• Inspect, resolve and monitor rectifications
• Supervise the construction of works and incorporation of materials and ensure that they are carried out in accordance with the Project Plan
• Assist the Project Management team in ensuring that the works are carried out to schedule and in accordance to relevant regulations
• Coordinate all architectural drawings and works, submit and update status of shop drawings and materials as well as supervise work progress
• Liaise closely with consultants and sub-contractors; conduct routine inspection of installed works
• Prepare / coordinate on method statement, drawings, materials, samples, work progress and other relevant documents for M&E related works
• Identify discrepancies between M&E, Structural ID, Architectural and client provision

Requirements:

• Relevant Degree / Diploma in Architecture or its equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of local experience in private residential and commercial building projects will be an added advantage
• Understand the specifications, drawings, scope and sequence of works
• Ability to interpret construction drawings for any discrepancies
• Awareness of requirements of relevant authorities (i.e. BCA)
