Job summary

JOBALLY PTE. LTD. is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage full sets of accounts for trading and shipping entities. You will oversee month-end closes, financial reporting and compliance, and contribute to stronger processes and controls.

You should have a diploma or degree in accountancy or finance, 5+ years of experience, familiarity with GST and withholding tax in Singapore, strong Excel skills, and English and Mandarin communication to liaise with China-based counterparts.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with confidence in managing full sets independently.
• Experience in commodity trading, shipping or maritime businesses is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of Singapore GST, withholding tax and statutory reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Mandarin to liaise with China-based counterparts.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including banking, AR, AP and reconciliations.
• Independently handle full sets of accounts, month-end closing, journals and accruals.
• Prepare accurate financial reports and supporting schedules for management review.
• Prepare GST returns and withholding tax filings.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax agents on audit, tax and statutory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
