Job summary

Sciente Pte. in Singapore is seeking an experienced System Manager to lead a 24x7 mission-critical infrastructure, driving availability, security, incident recovery, and continuous improvements.

You will manage a team of system engineers, coordinate with the Service Delivery Manager to plan maintenance, patching, upgrades, and service improvement initiatives, and ensure robust incident handling and service performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree or diploma in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6 years in enterprise infrastructure with 3 years in a leadership role.
• 3 years O&M experience for critical systems; after-hours support willingness.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of a 24x7 mission-critical system with a team of engineers.
• Ensure system availability, performance, security, and operational readiness.
• Coordinate with SDM to plan maintenance, patching, upgrades and service improvements.
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and service recovery.
• Review deployment plans, risk assessments, and rollback strategies.
• Manage lifecycle of infrastructure including servers, virtualization, network, and COTS upgrades.
• Ensure cybersecurity, backup, DR, and CM requirements are met.
• Identify risks and mitigations; mentor the operations team.
• Engage with stakeholders and vendors on service delivery.
