SCIENTE INTERNATIONAL PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an experienced System Manager to lead administration, maintenance and enhancement of enterprise IT infrastructure.

The role focuses on high availability, upgrades, and operational excellence across Windows, VMware, networking and security environments. You will manage a team of system engineers, provide technical leadership, mentor staff, and drive rigorous change management, system monitoring, and proactive problem solving to sustain

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on systems infrastructure experience, with 3+ years leading a team of at least 3 engineers.
• Strong administration of Windows Server 2019+, Windows 11, Active Directory, and SQL Server 2019+.
• Hands-on VMware ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, NSX, virtualization, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Experience in Windows patch management (WSUS), certificates, antivirus solutions (Symantec SEP/SEPM, Trellix ePO), and backup/recovery.
• Good networking (Layer 2/3, routing, VPN), security concepts (PAM, EDR, RSA), and centralized logging (Splunk).
• Experience in managing enterprise infrastructure projects, change management, and mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of system engineers with technical guidance.
• Ensure system availability, preventive maintenance, and monthly operational reporting.
• Plan infrastructure upgrades across servers, OS, VMware, networks and COTS platforms.
• Review changes with impact analysis, testing, rollback planning.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, server, virtualization, and network issues.
• Maintain Windows Servers, AD, SQL Server, VMware, and security infrastructure.
• Oversee patch management, SSL lifecycle, antivirus, backup/recovery, logging.
• Ensure security, compliance, performance, and adherence to best practices.
