Job summary

NEWTONE SERVICES PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced System Manager to lead the operations, maintenance, security, and lifecycle management of mission-critical IT infrastructure supporting public sector systems.

You will manage engineering teams and vendors while ensuring high availability, resilience, and compliance with Singapore Government ICT requirements. You will oversee incident, change, release, and configuration management based on ITIL practices, drive security reviews, DR/BCP

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of infrastructure/system management experience, including 5+ years leading technical teams or vendors.
• Strong experience with Windows Server, VMware, storage, backup/recovery, monitoring, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, hybrid cloud, and GCC environments is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead system operations, maintenance, and support across enterprise infrastructure and platform environments.
• Manage system availability, performance, capacity, SLA compliance, and technology lifecycle planning.
• Lead incident, problem, change, release, and configuration management based on ITIL practices.
• Oversee patching, vulnerability remediation, system hardening, security reviews, and technical risk management.
• Manage backup, Disaster Recovery (DR), Business Continuity (BCP) and recovery exercises.
• Ensure compliance with IM8, GCC, PDPA, cybersecurity policies, and government audit requirements.
• Provide technical oversight for infrastructure upgrades, architecture changes, migrations, and technology refresh initiatives.
• Manage vendors, support contracts, operational deliverables, and service performance.
• Lead and mentor System Engineers and infrastructure support teams.
• Provide management reporting on service performance, risks, incidents, capacity, and compliance.

• Experience supporting Singapore Government, Defence, Healthcare, Statutory Boards, or regulated environments preferred.
• Strong leadership, vendor management, stakeholder communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft Azure, VMware VCP, CISSP/CISM, or PMP are advantageous.
