Job summary

NEWTONE CONSULTING PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced System Manager to lead the operations, maintenance, security, and lifecycle management of mission-critical IT infrastructure supporting public sector systems.

You will manage engineering teams and vendors, ensure high availability and regulatory compliance, and oversee ITIL-based incident, change, release, and configuration management, DR/BCP exercises, and security reviews.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of infrastructure/system management experience.
• 5+ years leading technical teams or vendors.
• Experience with Windows Server, VMware, storage, backup/recovery, monitoring, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience with Singapore Government, Defence, Healthcare, Statutory Boards, or regulated environments.
• Certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft Azure, VMware VCP, CISSP/CISM, or PMP are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead system operations, maintenance, and support across enterprise infrastructure and platform environments.
• Manage system availability, performance, capacity, SLA compliance, and technology lifecycle planning.
• Lead incident, problem, change, release, and configuration management based on ITIL practices.
• Oversee patching, vulnerability remediation, system hardening, security reviews, and technical risk management.
• Manage backup, Disaster Recovery (DR), Business Continuity (BCP) and recovery exercises.
• Ensure compliance with IM8, GCC, PDPA, cybersecurity policies, and government audit requirements.
• Provide technical oversight for infrastructure upgrades, architecture changes, migrations, and technology refresh initiatives.
• Manage vendors, support contracts, operational deliverables, and service performance.
• Lead and mentor System Engineers and infrastructure support teams.
• Provide management reporting on service performance, risks, incidents, capacity, and compliance.

• Strong experience withWindows Server, VMware, storage, backup/recovery, monitoring, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience withMicrosoft Azure, hybrid cloud, and GCC environments is highly desirable.
• Good understanding of infrastructure security, vulnerability management, DR/BCP, and ITIL processes.
• Experience supportingSingapore Government, Defence, Healthcare, Statutory Boards, or regulated environments preferred.
• Strong leadership, vendor management, stakeholder communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Certifications such asITIL, Microsoft Azure, VMware VCP, CISSP/CISM, or PMP are advantageous.
