Job summary

Greensafe International Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a dedicated SEN Support Teacher to identify, design and implement targeted support for students with SEN, and to provide ongoing classroom interventions and remediation.

The role also involves supporting smooth transitions for incoming Sec 1 students with SEN, maintaining detailed records, collaborating with teachers and parents, and contributing to school events and wellbeing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Preferably 3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify, design and implement support structures/strategies for students with SEN.
• Provide in-class support, interventions and remediation.
• Support transition for incoming Sec 1 students with SEN and engage parents.
• Maintain records of interventions and student progress.
• Collaborate with subject teachers to implement classroom supports.
• Monitor and evaluate intervention effectiveness and refine them.
• Collaborate with parents and external agencies/professionals.
• Invigilate and observe during school assessments/exams.
• Conduct interventions during June holidays.
• Provide resources and organize workshops with the Student Wellbeing team.
• Support students with SEN during school events as adult supervisor.

Job description

Hours: Mon–Thu 8:00am–3:30pm; Fri 8:00am–1:00pm

Key Roles

• Identify, design, and implement support structures/strategies for students with SEN

• Provide in-class support, individual/small-group interventions, and specialised remediation

• Provide transition support for incoming Sec 1 students with SEN (engaging parents on the SEN Support Plan)

• Maintain records of interventions, support provided, and progress

• Work with subject teachers to implement practical classroom supports

• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and refine them

• Collaborate and consult with parents and external agencies/professionals

• Invigilate and conduct observations during school-based assessments/exams

• Conduct interventions and specialised remediation during June school holidays

• Provide resources and organise workshops with the Student Wellbeing team to strengthen teachers' capabilities

• Support students with SEN during school-based events as an adult supervisor

Requirements

• At least a degree in special education

• Ability to analyse and solve problems

• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders

• Preferably 3 years of relevant working experience
