Job summary

MAXHUNT RESOURCE PTE. LTD. invites applications for a Special Education Support role at Yishun Town Secondary School.

The contract runs from 28 December 2026 to 31 October 2027, with school-day hours and a 30-minute lunch break. You will design targeted strategies, provide classroom support, and track student progress. The ideal candidate holds a Special Education degree with MOE registration and 3 years of SEN experience in mainstream schools, including dyslexia, ADHD, or mild autism.

Qualifications

• A degree in Special Education and registration with the Ministry of Education.
• Preferably three years of experience supporting students with SEN in mainstream schools (dyslexia, ADHD, mild autism).
• Ability to identify support needs and collaborate with staff, families and external professionals.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement support strategies, provide classroom support, interventions and remediation.
• Support incoming Secondary 1 students and develop SEN Support Plans with parents.
• Maintain records of support and student progress; evaluate interventions.
• Work with subject teachers to apply classroom strategies; consult families and external professionals.
• Invigilate assessments and deliver interventions during June holidays.
• Collaborate with the Student Wellbeing Team to develop resources and workshops; supervise events.

Working hours

• Mon-Thurs: 8:00am-3:30pm. Fri: 8:00am-1:00pm. Each shift includes a 30-minute lunch break.
• No deployment on Saturdays, Sundays or gazetted public holidays. The December 2026 deployment is from 28 to 30 December. The 2027 service period runs from 1 January to 31 October.

Requirements

• A degree in Special Education and registration with the Ministry of Education.

• Ability to identify students' support needs, solve problems and work effectively with school staff, families and external professionals.

Job Scopes

1. Design and implement support strategies. Provide classroom support, individual and small-group interventions, and specialised remediation.
2. Support incoming Secondary 1 students and work with their parents to develop Special Educational Needs Support Plans.
3. Maintain records of support and student progress. Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and adjust them as needed.
4. Work with subject teachers to put practical classroom strategies in place. Consult families and external professionals on students' learning, development and well-being.
5. Invigilate school assessments and observe students during assessments. Deliver interventions and remediation during the June school holidays.
6. Work with the Student Wellbeing Team to develop resources and organise workshops for teachers. Supervise students during school events.
