Job summary

MINDEF - SAF in Singapore seeks a seasoned logistics professional to coordinate and manage logistics operations across the Joint Staff and Services' Logistics Departments. You will plan, resource, and sustain logistics plans to ensure relevance, operational readiness, and optimal support.

The role requires domain expertise in military logistics, plus the ability to navigate multiple stakeholders from SAF, MINDEF and other ministries.

Qualifications

• A minimum degree, preferably in Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
• At least 10 years of logistics experience within SAF.
• Experience as Officer-in-Command (OC) of HQ Company or Logistics Officer at Battalion/Squadron or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders.
• Creative problem-solving and proactive mindset towards challenges.

What the role is:

You will coordinate and manage logistics operations across the Joint Staff and Services' Logistics Departments. This would include the planning, resourcing and sustainment of logistics plans to ensure relevance, operational and optimal. The role includes the design and conduct of the annual logistics exercise. This would be done in consultation with multiple stakeholders from both the SAF, MINDEF and adjacent ministries

What you will be working on:

You are expected to be a domain expert in Military Logistics and Supply Chain Matters. This will enable the quick appreciation of operational challenges leading to an effective prescription/ application of logistics solutions. There will be multiple stakeholders involved and you are expected to navigate and resolve every challenge with the prudent use of resources. In addition, you are expected to read and research widely to formulate concepts that could optimise and enhance the logistics resilience of the SAF.

What we are looking for:

You must have a minimum degree, preferably in Engineering or Supply Chain Management. You must also have served in the SAF in a logistics related appointment with 10 years relevant work experience. This includes roles as an Officer-in-Command (OC) of the HQ Company and/or Logistics Officer in Battalion/Squadron or equivalent.You should also possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to be able to liaise with stakeholders to foster collaborations. You should also have a creative problem-solving aptitude and proactive mindset towards challenges.
