Job summary

V-SWIFT PTE. LTD. seeks a qualified counsellor to support student well-being through individual and group counselling. You will collaborate with staff, parents and external professionals, and conduct home visits when needed.

You will maintain case records, assess risks, plan interventions, and work with teachers and external agencies as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Strong discretion and experience with adolescents are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Counselling with relevant professional qualifications.
• Experience in counselling and/or social work, preferably with adolescents or young people in a school or community setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport with students, parents and stakeholders.
• Strong assessment and case management skills; identify needs, assess risks, formulate interventions, monitor progress.
• Strong collaboration skills; work with teachers, school leaders, parents and external agencies as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Organised, meticulous and able to manage multiple cases and competing priorities.
• Sound professional judgement, discretion and sensitivity when handling confidential student matters.

Responsibilities

• Conducting individual and group counselling to students.
• Conference with staff, parents and external professionals on students being counselled; conduct home visits where necessary.
• Refer students and families to community resources when needed.
• Provide direct crisis intervention and follow up for students affected by critical events.
• Maintain case consultation records and proper documentation.
