Job summary

CORNERSTONE GLOBAL PARTNERS PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced SAP Technical Architect to lead the technical design, system landscape architecture, security compliance, and integration strategy for enterprise S/4HANA implementations.

You will ensure high performance, robust HA/DR design, and strict alignment with security and data-handling standards. The role requires hands-on experience in S/4HANA landscapes, deployment topologies, integration platforms, IAM/SSO, and data migration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in CS/engineering/IT.
• SAP technical certifications preferred (S/4HANA, HANA, integration).
• Experience with SAP Activate methodology is a plus.
• Enterprise security credentials and cloud/infrastructure certifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end S/4HANA technical architecture and landscape design.
• Define deployment topology including on-prem, air-gapped or sovereign cloud hosting.
• Govern integration platforms (SAP Integration Suite / PI-PO, APIs, OData, IDoc/BAPI).
• Define security architecture: IAM/SSO, encryption, infrastructure hardening.
• Govern DevOps/CI-CD pipelines and transport strategies with Basis team.
• Lead NFRs for performance, capacity, availability; plan load testing.
• Design data migration and cutover runbooks with data workstreams.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced SAP Technical Architect to lead the technical design, system landscape architecture, security compliance, and integration strategy for enterprise S/4HANA implementations. This role is responsible for ensuring system performance, robust high-availability/disaster-recovery (HA/DR) design, and strict alignment with organizational security and data-handling standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Landscape & System Architecture: Own the end-to-end S/4HANA technical architecture, including system landscape design (Dev/QA/Prod, sandbox, and training environments), HANA database sizing, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Deployment Topology: Define deployment architecture suited for restricted operational contexts, including on-premise, air-gapped, or sovereign cloud hosting, network segmentation, and secure data handling.
• Integration Architecture: Select and govern integration platforms (SAP Integration Suite / PI-PO, APIs, OData, IDoc/BAPI), ensuring alignment with overall functional solution designs.
• Security & Compliance Architecture: Define security architecture covering encryption, key management, Identity & Access Management (IAM/SSO), and infrastructure hardening to IM8 or equivalent organizational standards.
• Governance & Operations: Govern transport strategies, DevOps/CI-CD pipelines where applicable, and system copy/refresh processes in close collaboration with the Basis team.
• Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs): Lead technical non-functional requirements including system performance, scalability, and availability and collaborate with test teams to define volume and load testing strategies.
• Data Migration & Cutover: Define the technical architecture for data migration and co-own the technical cutover runbook with Basis and data workstream leads.
• Technical Quality Assurance: Deliver technical design assurance and formal sign-offs against established project acceptance criteria.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

Technical Skills & Expertise

• S/4HANA & Infrastructure: Extensive hands-on experience designing S/4HANA landscapes on HANA, HA/DR setups, capacity planning, and sizing for complex, large-scale enterprise deployments.
• Deployment Topologies: Demonstrated experience architecting within on-premise, air-gapped, sovereign cloud, or restricted environments.
• Integration: Proven expertise across SAP Integration Suite, SAP PI-PO, API management, event-driven architecture, and legacy interface patterns.
• Security & Compliance: Practical mastery of network segmentation, IAM/SSO, encryption standards, and hardening systems to IM8 or equivalent enterprise security frameworks.
• NFR & Performance Engineering: Demonstrated experience in performance tuning, capacity planning, and shaping volume/load-test strategies.

Track Record & Project Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in SAP technical architecture, including experience in a lead SAP Technical Architect capacity.
• Successful track record of leading technical architecture (landscape, integration, and security) across multiple full-lifecycle S/4HANA implementations.
• Hands-on experience preparing technical cutover runbooks, managing data migration architectures, and collaborating with Basis teams.

Education & Certifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• SAP Certifications: Relevant SAP technical certification (e.g., S/4HANA System Administration, HANA, or SAP Integration).
• Framework Awareness: Strong working knowledge of SAP Activate methodology.
• Preferred Qualifications: Enterprise Architecture credentials (e.g., TOGAF or equivalent).SAP BTP / Integration Suite certifications. Information security credentials (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor).Infrastructure or Cloud certifications.
