Job summary

rma consultants pte ltd is seeking a senior sales leader to drive market development and sales of PDUs and power distribution cabinets in the data center sector. The role focuses on building relationships with end users, EPCs, and channel partners while coordinating with the technical team on solutions.

Travel between Singapore and Malaysia will be required; onboarding in China may be provided. A background in electrical engineering and at least 5 years of sales experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of sales experience with leadership or key account management.
• Diploma or above; background in electrical engineering, automation, or mechatronics preferred.
• Familiar with Eaton, Schneider Electric products or their distributors.
• Willingness to travel and to undergo onboarding at China workplace (15–30 days).
• Chinese language skills a plus for liaising with Mandarin-speaking customers.

Responsibilities

• Drive market development and sales of PDUs and power distribution cabinets in the data center sector and achieve annual targets.
• Develop and maintain end-user customers including IDC operators, internet/cloud providers, financial institutions and data centers; nurture channel partners.
• Understand customers' data center power distribution needs and collaborate with the technical team on design, tenders, and negotiations.
• Manage full project cycle from needs identification to quotation, contract signing, delivery coordination, and payment collection.
• Gather market and competitor intelligence and contribute to product planning and pricing.
• Lead and develop the sales team and help shape regional sales strategy.

Additional Information:

• Working hours: 5-day work week (Monday to Friday), 9:0 AM to 6:00 PM.

• Location: JTC Defu Industrial City, Defu South (Travel within Malaysia is required)

Job Responsibilities:

• Drive market development and sales of the company’s PDUs (including intelligent PDUs) and power distribution cabinets in the data center sector and achieve annual sales targets.

• Develop and maintain end-user customers, including IDC operators, internet and cloud providers, financial institutions, government, and enterprise data centers. Build relationships with channel partners such as system integrators, EPC contractors, and design consultants.

• Understand customers’ data center power distribution requirements, and work with the technical team on solution design, technical presentations, tenders, and commercial negotiations.

• Manage the full project cycle, from identifying needs to quotation, contract signing, delivery coordination, and payment collection.

• Gather market and competitor intelligence (e.g., Eaton, Schneider Electric, Vertiv) and provide input on product planning and pricing.

• Lead and develop the sales team and help shape regional sales strategy.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or above; a background in electrical engineering, automation, or mechatronics is preferred.

• At least 5 years of relevant sales experience, including team management or key account management.

• Familiar with several of the following products: locking power cords, PDUs, UPS, racks/cabinets, precision cooling, batteries, wires and cables, and power distribution cabinets.

• Sales experience with Eaton, Schneider Electric (APC), or their key distributors is preferred.

• Manufacturer or product sales background, able to close deals independently. Candidates with a purely EPC contracting background will not be considered (experience working with EPC contractors is acceptable).

• Existing relationships with data center end users are preferred.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills, able to work under pressure, and willing to travel.

• Proficiency in Chinese is a plus to handle Chinese-language menus and liaise with Mandarin-speakingcustomers.

• Willingness to undergo 15-30 days of onboarding training at the China workplace, covering corporate culture and production processes.
