About the role
As a Sales Engineer for Singapore with potential to grow to SEA-region, you will serve as the commercial and technical liaison between optical metrology solutions, international semiconductor customers, and internal teams in Sales, Product Management, Development, Service, and Application Engineering. Your focus will be introducing and further developing metrology solutions with focus on Hyperspectral Vision technology for non-destructive, optical inspection and characterization of 300-mm silicon wafers. You will demonstrate to customers how the combination of imaging spectroscopy, spatially resolved measurement data, and intelligent software can be used to detect layer thicknesses, surface features, contamination, and process deviations directly on production wafers. You will support the commercial and technical sales process: from identifying a specific process or yield issue, through feasibility studies and customer demonstrations, to system qualification, integration into the manufacturing environment, and the development of follow-on business.
Key responsibilities
- Building a robust sales pipeline (foundries, IDMs, wafer manufacturers) for Singapore and potentially SEA-region with a focus on hyperspectral vision and optical metrology
- Identifying and prioritizing target customers, fabs, technology programs, process steps, and strategic partners
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with process engineers, metrology and yield teams, equipment owners, fab managers, automation and IT managers, and technical procurement personnel
- Demonstrating customer benefits of metrology solutions and developing customer-specific value propositions for front-end leading-edge, specialty, and mature-node manufacturing
- Managing the sales process (offers, RFQs, technical proposals, cost calculations, and contract negotiations) from initial qualification through technical evaluation to order placement, acceptance, and follow-up business
- Internal coordination with product management, development, applications, service, legal, and export control; maintaining activities, opportunities, forecasts, and technical milestones in the CRM/ERP system
- Monitoring of capital expenditure programs, new fab projects, technology roadmaps, competitors, and regional procurement and qualification requirements
- Participation in relevant trade shows such as SEMICON Southeast Asia, as well as customer-specific technology and supplier days
