Job summary

Val-Technik is seeking a Sales Engineer to grow our building automation, HVAC controls, valves and energy metering business in Singapore. You will focus on opening new doors and creating sales opportunities rather than only handling incoming inquiries.

Ideal candidates have 2–6 years in technical sales or business development within BMS, HVAC, controls, valves, metering, or related engineering, with a willingness to learn and build a market rather than just servicing existing accounts.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of technical sales or business development experience.
• Experience in BMS or Building Automation, HVAC, valves, metering, or related engineering solutions.
• Ability to learn technical solutions and develop new business.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new customers and project opportunities
• Build relationships with M&E consultants, contractors, system integrators, building owners and facility managers
• Develop opportunities early and influence project specifications
• Sell BMS/building automation, HVAC controls, valves, actuators, water and energy metering solutions
• Understand customer requirements and work with our technical team to develop solutions
• Introduce lesser-known brands and convince customers based on technical and commercial value
• Manage opportunities from prospecting and proposal through negotiation and closing
• Work towards agreed individual sales targets
