Job summary

PERSOL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. seeks a Sales Engineer to develop deep technical knowledge of battery packs and components. You will translate complex battery data into clear customer-ready materials and support the sales team from qualification to closure in a fast-paced market.

You will collaborate with partners and the BD team, lead validation activities, and stay updated on evolving battery technologies. Occasional travel is required to engage customers and partners across the region.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Electrical or related disciplines)
• Foundational understanding of battery systems, battery packs and components
• 2-5+ years in sales engineering or technical support roles
• Battery industry experience preferred
• Ability to simplify and communicate technical concepts to varied audiences

• Develop expertise in battery packs and components through partner engagement
• Consolidate technical information into actionable sales knowledge
• Create internal knowledge bases and reference materials for BD team
• Translate technical data into clear customer presentations
• Lead technical validation, testing and qualification with customers and partners

Job description

Job Responsibilities

1. Technical & Product Support

• Develop technical expertise in battery packs and battery components through engagement with our partners
• Continuously consolidate technical information, specifications, and product differentiators into actionable sales knowledge
• Build and maintain internal knowledge repositories, technical materials, and reference documentation for the business development team
• Translate technical product information into clear, structured, and customer- friendly presentations
• Lead and coordinate technical validation, sample testing, and qualification processes with customers and our partners

2. Sales Support

• Support sales team in qualifying customer requirements
• Conduct technical briefings, product walkthroughs and explanations to potential customers
• Collaborate closely with the business development team to progress opportunities from initial engagement to closing stage
• Provide post-sales technical support and coordination to customers
• Identify high-potential opportunities across the battery ecosystem

3. Market Intelligence

• Stay updated on battery technologies (e.g. LFP, NMC) and emerging battery solutions
• Monitor regulatory, competitive, and technological developments across key markets
• Translate market insights into actionable business opportunities and strategic initiatives

Job Requirements

• Degree in Engineering (Electrical or related disciplines)
• Foundational understanding of battery systems, battery packs and battery components
• 2-5+years of relevant experience in:
• Sales engineering / technical support roles
• Battery or battery-related industries preferred
• Strong ability to simplify and communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Collaborative mindset to support business development team and cross- functional stakeholders
• Ability to travel when required
