Qualifications

• Candidates with strong technical sales interest may be considered for junior role.

Job description

Job Purpose

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving sales growth within the assigned territory by engaging both existing and potential customers. The role involves promoting and selling instrumentation products – primarily to clients in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industries. The Engineer will also prepare technical presentations, provide tailored solutions and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and long‑term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and market a range of instrumentation products, including valves, filter regulators, gauges and industrial cleaning products, to customers in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industries.
• Manage and develop existing customer accounts while proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
• Provide technical consultation and recommend suitable product solutions based on customer requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product features, applications and industry developments.
• Conduct customer visits, product presentations and technical demonstrations.
• Review customer enquiries and prepare quotations by referencing previous proposals and coordinating with internal stakeholders.
• Gather and report market intelligence, including competitor activities, customer requirements and industry trends.
• Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to the overall performance of the sales team.

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related disciplines.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial sales, preferably within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or related industries.
• Candidates without relevant experience but with a strong interest in technical sales may be considered for a junior position.
