Job summary

GARBARINO PUMPS ASIA PTE LTD in Singapore seeks a Sales Engineer to develop new business, manage client relationships, and provide technical solutions. This is an outdoor, client-facing role with travel overseas as required.

You will prepare quotations, identify opportunities, coordinate with internal teams, and ensure customer satisfaction while supporting sales objectives.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in pump/industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of centrifugal pumps and related equipment is advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.

We are looking for a motivated and results-oriented Sales Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing client relationships, providing suitable technical solutions, and supporting the successful execution of sales projects.

This is an outdoor sales and client-facing role, with opportunities to engage directly with customers and develop long-term business relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend to sales enquiries and understand customers’ technical and commercial requirements.
• Conduct outdoor sales visits and develop strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, contracts, and potential markets.
• Prepare and submit sales quotations and proposals to clients.
• Recommend and select suitable products and solutions based on customers’ requirements.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding product, technical, and commercial enquiries.
• Follow up on customers’ feedback, issues, and requirements, and coordinate with internal teams to provide appropriate solutions.
• Respond to technical and commercial clarifications during the sales process.
• Prepare Sales Orders upon receipt of customers’ Purchase Orders.
• Provide after-sales support and follow up on customer enquiries to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Follow up with clients on outstanding payments and assist with collection activities when required.
• Monitor sales performance and work towards achieving assigned sales objectives and targets.
• Travel overseas when required for business meetings, customer visits, or other work-related activities.
• Comply with the company’s Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies, procedures, and control measures.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Candidates with knowledge or experience in centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, and related equipment will have an advantage.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the pump, engineering, or industrial equipment industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision while also being an effective team player.
• Self-motivated, proactive, responsible, and demonstrates a high level of integrity.
• Willing to travel for customer visits and overseas assignments when required.
• Possession of own transport will be an added advantage.
