Assistant Sales Manager – Air Freight

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Sales Manager – Air Freight to develop new business opportunities and manage existing customer relationships within the air freight and logistics industry.

The successful candidate should be commercially driven, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
• Identify and pursue new air freight business opportunities.
• Prepare quotations, business proposals, and commercial presentations.
• Follow up actively on sales leads and convert opportunities into confirmed business.
• Work closely with the Head of Sales to develop and execute air freight sales strategies that support business growth.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, airlines, co-loaders, overseas agents, and business partners.
• Collaborate with our global agent network to identify cross-border air freight opportunities.
• Understand customers’ shipping requirements and recommend suitable air freight solutions.
• Coordinate with the operations and pricing teams to provide competitive rates and reliable services.
• Prepare and maintain sales pipelines, forecasts, and performance reports for management.
• Take ownership of individual sales targets and continuously identify opportunities to increase revenue and profitability.
• Monitor air freight market trends, rate movements, capacity, customer requirements, and competitor activities.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of sales or business-development experience in air freight, freight forwarding, or a related logistics field.
• Good knowledge of air freight products, pricing, routing, airline services, and market conditions.
• An existing customer network within the air freight or freight-forwarding industry will be an advantage.
• Able to communicate in Mandarin to liaise effectively with Mandarin-speaking customers and business partners.
• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Commercially driven with a strong customer-service mindset.
• Able to work independently and take ownership of sales activities and results.
• Able to perform effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
• Willing to travel for customer meetings and business-development activities.
