Job summary

KOH CIVIL ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a Safety Coordinator to monitor and enforce Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations across construction sites in Singapore.

You will conduct regular inspections, prepare RA/SWP, and lead safety briefings to maintain a safe work environment. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of construction safety experience, is familiar with Singapore WSH rules, and can coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant construction site safety experience.
• Familiar with Singapore WSH regulations and construction safety requirements.
• Knowledge of Risk Assessment, Safe Work Procedures and Permit-to-Work systems.
• Willing to work at different project sites.

Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance with WSH regulations and company safety policies.
• Conduct site safety inspections to identify hazards and risks.
• Prepare and review RA, SWP and other safety docs.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings and inductions.
• Monitor PPE usage and safe working practices.
• Coordinate with PMs, site Supervisors and subcontractors for safe operations.
• Assist in investigating workplace accidents and near misses; recommend actions.
• Maintain safety records, inspection and training documents.
• Assist with MOM inspections and safety audits.

Job description

Job Description / Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, company safety policies and site safety requirements.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections to identify hazards, unsafe practices and potential risks.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP) and other safety documentation.
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings, safety briefings and worker safety inductions.
• Monitor workers' compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and safe working practices.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Supervisors and subcontractors to ensure safe site operations.
• Assist in investigating workplace accidents, incidents and near misses, and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain safety records, inspection reports, training records and other WSH documentation.
• Assist with MOM inspections, safety audits and implementation of corrective actions.
• Perform other safety-related duties assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

• Possess a WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B) or other accepted qualification for WSH Coordinator duties.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant construction site safety experience.
• Familiar with Singapore WSH regulations and construction safety requirements.
• Knowledge of Risk Assessment, Safe Work Procedures and Permit-to-Work systems.
• Experience in civil engineering, earthworks, excavation or marine construction projects will be an advantage.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Able to work independently and coordinate with site personnel.
• Willing to work at different project sites when required.
