Job summary

Emperor Xun Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks a Safety Officer to coordinate and implement Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) programmes across project sites, ensuring compliance with local regulations and MOM requirements.

You will conduct site safety inspections, prepare risk assessments, lead safety briefings, investigate incidents, and drive a proactive safety culture while supporting project teams and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Valid WSQ Advanced Certificate in WSH (with refresher).
• Minimum 2 years of construction safety experience.
• Good knowledge of Singapore WSH, MOM regulations and safety requirements.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to commence work immediately or on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement WSH programmes at project sites per regulations.
• Conduct routine site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts, conditions, and hazards.
• Monitor compliance with WSH Act, MOM regulations, Code of Practice, and company procedures.
• Prepare, review, and update Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), Method Statements, and PTW documentation.
• Organise toolbox meetings, safety inductions, and safety briefings for employees and subcontractors.
• Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, and clients on safety matters.
• Maintain safety records, inspection reports, statutory registers, and WSH documentation.
• Assist in emergency preparedness planning, drills, and response procedures.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and improve workplace safety performance.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Project Manager.

Job description

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) programmes at project sites in accordance with Singapore regulations.
• Conduct routine site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards
• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act, MOM regulations, Code of Practice, and company safety procedures
• Prepare, review, and update Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), Method Statements, and Permit-to-Work (PTW) documentation
• Organise and conduct toolbox meetings, safety inductions, and safety briefings for employees and subcontractors
• Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses, prepare investigation reports, and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, and clients on safety-related matters
• Maintain accurate safety records, inspection reports, statutory registers, and other WSH documentation
• Assist in emergency preparedness planning, drills, and the implementation of emergency response procedures
• Promote a proactive safety culture and continuously improve workplace safety performance
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Manager.

Requirements

• Possess a valid WSQ Advanced Certificate in WSH with a valid refresher certificate
• Minimum 2 years of construction safety experience
• Good knowledge of Singapore WSH, Singapore construction safety requirements, and MOM regulations
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to commence work immediately or within short notice
