Ramo Industries Pte Ltd is seeking a Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Officer to manage site safety, risk assessments, and compliance. The role involves conducting inspections, audits, and safety briefings, while coordinating with project teams to maintain safe worksites in line with MOM regulations.

The candidate should have 4–6 years of WSH experience, relevant qualifications, and proficiency with MS Word/Excel, ensuring accurate documentation and continuous safety improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–6 years of relevant WSH experience.
• Knowledge of WSH Act, MOM regulations, risk assessment, and safe work procedures.
• Experience in site inspections, safety audits, incident investigations, and safety documentation.
• Good communication and coordination with project teams and subcontractors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsabilités

• Conduct daily site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and non-compliance.
• Prepare and monitor risk assessments, safe work procedures, and permit-to-work documents.
• Conduct toolbox talks, inductions, and safety awareness programmes.
• Investigate accidents and near misses and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with WSH Act, MOM regulations, and company safety policies.
• Monitor high-risk activities such as work at height and confined-space work.
• Assist in developing and reviewing site safety plans and safety management systems.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, site supervisors, subcontractors and workers.
• Maintain safety documentation including inspection reports and incident records.
• Prepare safety reports and monitor safety performance for improvements.
• Follow up on safety observations and corrective actions to closure.

Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Officer

Job Responsibilities

1. Conduct daily site inspections and periodic safety audits to identify hazards, unsafe work practices, and non-compliance with safety requirements.
2. Prepare, review, and monitor Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), Method Statements (MS), and Permit-to-Work (PTW) documents.
3. Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, worker inductions, and safety awareness programmes.
4. Investigate accidents, near misses, and dangerous occurrences, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
5. Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act, MOM regulations, company safety policies, and applicable construction safety standards.
6. Monitor high-risk activities, including work at height, lifting operations, confined‑space work, and other hazardous activities.
7. Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing site safety plans, procedures, and safety management systems.
8. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, site supervisors, subcontractors, and workers to ensure safety requirements are followed.
9. Maintain safety documentation, including inspection reports, incident records, training attendance, risk assessments, and corrective action registers.
10. Prepare safety reports and monitor safety performance, identifying areas for improvement.
11. Follow up on safety observations, audit findings, and corrective actions to ensure timely closure.
12. Assist with internal and external safety audits and maintain documentation in accordance with applicable ISO requirements.
13. Promote a positive safety culture and ensure workers use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
14. Perform other safety-related duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

1. Minimum 4–6 years of relevant WSH experience, preferably in the construction industry.
2. Relevant WSH qualifications, such as the WSQ Advanced Certificate in WSH or other recognised qualifications appropriate to the position.
3. Valid MOM registration or appointment as a WSH Officer, where required for the role.
4. Good knowledge of WSH legislation, MOM requirements, risk assessment, and safe work procedures.
5. Experience in site inspections, safety audits, incident investigations, and safety documentation.
6. Knowledge of ISO management systems and audit requirements is an advantage.
7. Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with project teams and subcontractors.
8. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
