Modular Technology PTE. LTD. is seeking a dedicated WSH Officer to uphold workplace safety on construction sites in Singapore. You will enforce WSH measures, lead safety meetings, and ensure strict adherence to SWPs and risk assessments.

You will conduct daily inspections, identify hazards, and implement preventive actions while coordinating with MOM and other authorities. The role requires independent work and effective communication in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• Registered WSH Officer with MOM.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore WSH regulations and practices.
• Proactive with good communication and analytical skills.

Responsabilidades

• Implement and enforce workplace safety and health measures per the WSH Act and regulations.
• Ensure supervisors and workers comply with SWPs, risk assessments, and safety requirements.
• Conduct daily worksite safety inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Proactively identify hazards and provide practical solutions to prevent incidents.
• Supervise workers to ensure safety procedures are followed and compliant.
• Organise monthly Safety Committee Meetings and prepare safety reports.
• Maintain WSH records, inspection checklists, and safety documentation.
• Ensure daily safety checklists are completed and followed up.
• Conduct Toolbox Meetings and Safety Briefings across project sites.
• Investigate workplace incidents and submit required reports (iReport where needed).
• Liaise with MOM and authorities on WSH matters, inspections, and queries.
• Stay updated on MOM, WSH, NEA, SCDF regulations and apply to projects.
• Coordinate with site personnel to continuously improve safety standards and housekeeping.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement and enforce appropriate workplace safety and health measures in accordance with the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act and relevant regulations.
• Ensure supervisors and workers strictly comply with approved Safe Work Procedures (SWPs), risk assessments, and other established safety requirements.
• Conduct regular and daily worksite safety inspections to identify potential hazards and unsafe practices, and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
• Proactively identify workplace hazards and provide practical solutions to prevent incidents and accidents during daily operations.
• Supervise and monitor workers to ensure that safety measures and procedures are properly implemented in compliance with applicable government regulations.
• Organise monthly Safety Committee Meetings and prepare safety-related reports, including the monitoring and follow-up of outstanding safety issues.
• Compile, maintain, and update all relevant WSH records, reports, inspection checklists, and safety documentation.
• Ensure daily safety checklists are properly completed, documented, and followed up where necessary.
• Conduct and document Toolbox Meetings and Safety Briefings across project sites.
• Investigate workplace incidents and accidents, prepare the necessary reports, and submit iReport where required.
• Liaise with MOM and other relevant authorities on WSH-related matters, inspections, and queries.
• Keep abreast of the latest requirements, regulations, and legislation issued by MOM, WSH, NEA, SCDF, and other relevant authorities, and ensure that project teams are updated accordingly.
• Coordinate with relevant site personnel to continuously improve worksite safety standards, housekeeping, and site cleanliness.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the management from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

• Registered WSH Officer with MOM.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in the construction industry.
• Knowledge and experience in Occupational Safety and Health Management.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore WSH regulations, legislation, and workplace safety requirements.
• Proactive, with strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
• Good problem-solving skills with the ability to identify hazards and implement effective corrective and preventive measures.
• Able to work independently and effectively under pressure in a fast-paced construction environment.
