Private Advertiser is seeking a WSH professional in Singapore to implement and monitor workplace safety policies across HQ and project sites. The role requires conducting inspections, risk assessments and audits to uphold Singapore WSH standards.
You will ensure compliance with the WSH Act and client requirements, manage high-risk activities, investigate incidents, and drive safety training and documentation. Local travel to project sites is expected.
Implement and monitor the Company’s Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies, procedures and programmes across HQ office and project sites.
Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure effective control measures are in place.
Monitor and ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act, relevant regulations, Codes of Practice and client requirements.
Monitor high-risk construction activities and ensure safe work procedures and Permit-to-Work requirements are properly implemented.
Investigate workplace accidents, incidents and near misses, identify root causes and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, WSH training and safety awareness programmes for employees and site personnel.
Work closely with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, subcontractors and workers to address WSH issues and improve site safety standards.
Follow up on safety observations, inspection findings and corrective actions to ensure timely closure.
Maintain and update WSH documentation, records, inspection reports and statutory submissions where applicable.
Assist in emergency preparedness, drills and response activities.
Promote a strong safety-first culture and continuous improvement in WSH performance across the organisation.
Perform any other WSH-related duties as assigned by Management.
Diploma/Degree in Workplace Safety and Health, Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering or a related discipline.
Registered as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM.
Relevant experience in the construction or civil engineering industry will be an advantage.
Good knowledge of Singapore WSH legislation, regulations and industry practices.
Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently as well as effectively with project and site teams.
Proactive, responsible and committed to maintaining high safety standards.
Willing to travel to various project sites as required.
