Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking a Laboratory Technician to work across multiple sections, delivering accurate test results while rotating through the Laboratory business offices. You will support physicians with timely diagnostics in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications include a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or related degree, with about 1 year of experience, and willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays. Training and compliance with QA programs are included.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in medical Laboratory technology, or recognised Bachelor of Science degree or polytechnic Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferably, at least 1 year experience in a related medical laboratory.
• Flexible in shift works, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine test procedures, automated or manual, in the laboratory with little direct supervision.
• assists in training of new personnel.
• maintains a clean and well organised work area.
• Maintains proper inventory level of all supplies and report any deficiency to the appropriate section manager or the designate.
• Reviews all daily QC results and discusses any problems with the appropriate section manager or the designate.
• Checks the performance of all instruments in the Laboratory and to report any which is not functioning properly.
• Supports flexible staffing requirements in the department and participates in shift duties.
• Complies with all regulatory guidelines, participating in CAP proficiency testing, National proficiency testing and interhospital QA programs.
• Participates in a routine maintenance program for instruments and in on-going CME and professional devt programs.
• Develops rapport with all the Laboratory Staffs as well with other Hospital departments.
• Any other duties as assigned from time to time by management.
