Job summary

Responsibilities

Performs routine test procedures, automated or manual, in the laboratory with little direct supervision.
Assists in training of new personnel.
Maintains a clean and well organised work area.
Maintains proper inventory level of all supplies and reports deficiencies.
Reviews daily QC results and discusses issues with the section manager.
Checks instrument performance and reports any malfunction.
Participates in shift duties and supports flexible staffing in the department.
Complies with regulatory guidelines and participates in proficiency testing programs.
Engages in routine maintenance of instruments and CME/professional development.
Develops rapport with Laboratory Staff and other hospital departments.
